SWEEP has reopened it’s application period for applications to submit for water savings grant money. CDFA is awarding $10 million in competitive grant funding to agricultural operations for implementation of water conservation measures that result in increased water efficiency and reduced greenhouse gas emissions. The California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) has extended the application submission deadline for their State Water Efficiency and Enhancement Program (SWEEP). The new deadline is November 10, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. PST.
Equipment that monitors soil moisture and helps with irrigation scheduling is eligible for this funding.
